Terms of Use

Welcome to Daggerstack. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Daggerstack website, application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Daggerstack. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Daggerstack is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
3. Code of Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Bully, harass, threaten, or harm others
- Post or promote content that is illegal, hateful, violent, or otherwise harmful
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or subvert the intended functionality or security of the site
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
Daggerstack reserves the right to monitor, review, and remove any content at its sole discretion, and to suspend or terminate user accounts that violate these Terms or community guidelines.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of any content you create or submit through the Service, but you grant Daggerstack a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for purposes of operating and improving the Service.
By posting or sharing content, you confirm that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to share the content
- Your content does not infringe on the rights of others
- You understand that shared content may be visible to others and that Daggerstack is not liable for any consequences of such sharing
Daggerstack reserves the right to remove or restrict access to user content that violates these Terms or community expectations, without notice.
5. Intellectual Property
All software, code, design, and functionality provided through Daggerstack is the exclusive property of Daggerstack and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without express written permission.
All official Daggerheart content remains the property of Darrington Press and may only be used or shared in accordance with the Darrington Press Community Guidelines License (CGL). You are responsible for ensuring your compliance with any applicable third-party licenses.
6. Restrictions on Commercial Use
Daggerstack is provided for personal and non-commercial use. You may not use the Service to sell, advertise, or directly monetize products or services through the platform itself (e.g., charging users for access, promoting unrelated businesses, or embedding ads within user content on Daggerstack).
However, Daggerstack does permit use of the platform as part of monetized content such as actual play livestreams, podcasts, videos, or social media content, provided that:
- Daggerstack is not represented as being officially affiliated with or endorsed by your production, unless you have obtained prior written authorization from Daggerstack or its authorized representatives
- You are not charging users for access to Daggerstack features or content hosted within the platform itself
- You follow all other terms, including those regarding intellectual property and user conduct
- You give proper attribution to Daggerstack when using its features in public content
We reserve the right to revoke this permission if your use violates community standards or other terms described in this agreement.
7. Subscription Model
While the platform is currently free, Daggerstack reserves the right to introduce paid features or subscription tiers in the future. Terms for those features will be provided separately if and when they become available.
8. Third-Party Services
Daggerstack uses third-party providers such as Google and Twitch for account authentication. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Daggerstack is not responsible for the availability or operation of any third-party service.
9. Modifications to Terms
Daggerstack may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review the Terms periodically.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms or suspected abuse.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Daggerstack does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daggerstack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of the Service.
You are solely responsible for any content you share publicly. Daggerstack is not liable for the misuse, copying, or distribution of your content by other users.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Daggerstack, its affiliates, officers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Ohio.
